What is island life without tourists? And what is island life without visitors?
I will admit that I personally have not had visitors to the island--yet. I can list you the reasons why: I don't have friends that are ballin' enough to fly. I have a significant other, so I cannot convince 'acquaintances' ;) to fly for a short vaca. Finally, I don't have a huge amount of friends : / However, my significant other, 'Mr. B' has family and friends who visit.
This weekend, I seem to be spending a lot of my time entertaining Mr. B's brother. Unfortunately, it coincided with my move to a new home, which meant a lot of stress for me. Nevertheless, we spent plenty of time at the beach, the local food shops and just chillin' watching the sunset.
This visit was Mr. B's brother's second visit to the island; so fortunately, he had gone through the more tourist-y activities. The funny thing about islands (excluding Australia) is once you've gone through the must-do's there's not much else to do. . . except chill on the beach and take it easy. Is it the slow life? Is it too slow?
