And when the lights came on . . .

34
Today, there was a power outage.

I say this as if it was any news. I shoulda gotten a clue, when all the lights flickered off at work, as I heard a big boom of thunder. Or, when I talked to Mr. B, and he said he was hanging out in the house with the CouchSurfer, with the lights out. But, I didn't get the clue until I heard the generator by the supermarket that I stopped at on the way home. And when I got home, it was dark, and nobody else was home.

Mosquitos operate without electricity. Even when the A/C's not running, and you have no mesh over your windows. Even then, and especially then, will they strike.

I gave a half-hearted attempt at lining up some images on my laptop for the project I am working on. . . I was just nodding off to sleep when--the friendly sound of the A/C hummed through the air. Delighted, I turned on half the lights in the house. And lo and behold, I found. . . a new friend.
