Disclaimer: I am going to start calling my self a surfer because I have stood up on a surf-board on some waves more than a few times. I make no other claims.
But what's a lady-surfer supposed to do online? If you're hard core, there's stuff to see, check out gnarly waves and people 'chopping it up' (right term?). But what if you felt like checking out awesome swimwear? Or if you wanted to sport something beach-y while on shore? What if you wanted to casually peruse the web about your passion for surf, sea and sexy bikinis?
There aren't too many good sites out there, but please tell me if you've seen one. Any lady journalists out there that need a project and have lots of connections to the surfing world? This sounds like an opportunity to me.
So on to some sites you may like.
This is a fun project for the crafty up-cyclers out there--DIY canvas surf bag!
An Salt Gypsy seems to be an awesome website full of swim gear and stories, specifically for women (pics).
I have also seen seaglass and surfboard epoxy jewelry out there that is quite nice. Makes me want to DIY some more!
